The writing center crew is made up of peer tutors from various majors who have strong writing and interpersonal skills. They have taken or are currently taking the two-credit course Theory and Practice of Tutoring Writing.
Each peer tutor is responsible for the following:• Support you in completing assignments for this course, including setting goals and documenting progress.
• Support you in your writing for your other courses.
• Give you input on your writing from their perspective as a well-informed reader.
• Teach you about aspects of writing that you want to learn more about.
• Show you how to use resources to help in your writing.
• Support you in making your own informed decisions about your writing.
• Come to sessions on time, and notify you in the event of illness or emergency.
